SmithCorp is the umbrella company encompassing six, fast growing, independent recruitment brands. We specialise in the education sector and have established offices in Bristol, Truro and London. Due to continued growth we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated Administrator to join our Back Office Support Team in Truro.
As an organically grown business, there are genuine opportunities to progress. Your basic salary will rise to £16k after 12 weeks of training, with a further increase to £16,500 after 12 months service. There is realistic progression to sector lead within 18 months to 2 years, which will see a salary increase to £18k. We only promote from within and hard workers are recognised and rewarded.
As we recruit into the education sector the screening of applicants is of paramount importance to the business. So this is an integral role. You will be responsible for pre-employment checks on candidates which will include reference and background checks, performing DBS checks and sending out contracts. Other administration duties will be required to support the team.
We are therefore looking for conscientious individuals who prides themselves on the quality of their work. Impeccable attention to detail is paramount. You will be liaising with clients and candidates when chasing references so you need to be assertive but personable, with an excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
You will also need good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and multitask.
Some administration or customer service experience is required with at least 5 GCSE's at grade C and above.
The position is full time, Monday to Friday, however, we may consider a part-time job share.
